The Bessie Clarke Scholarship: Honoring a Teacher's Legacy

The annual Bessie Clarke Scholarship is dedicated to honoring the life and legacy of an extraordinary, now retired teacher who went above the call of duty to help students with their academic pursuits, especially in the area of scholarships.

As a former student of Beaufort High School, I am forever grateful to be able to give back by establishing this scholarship in her honor. This scholarship is more than just a financial award; it is a testament to the long lasting impact that one teacher can make in the lives of their students.

It is my hope that this scholarship will inspire and encourage students to pursue their dreams, just as Mrs. Clarke inspired and encouraged me to do.

Scholarship Application

SCHOLARSHIP DETAILS

This scholarship is open to students who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership skills, and a commitment to community service.

Requirements:

Graduating senior
Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
Acceptance to a 4-Year college or university
(1) Letter of recommendation from teacher
Intent to major in an Information Technology (IT) related field
450-500 word essay on "How will the advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) change education and our everyday lives?"

Application Deadline

Completed scholarship application and required documents must be submitted by May 12th, 2024.
